Garden Gab, weeks 5 and 6
Pictures from my growing garden.
I’m growing corn, well corn stalks.
Beets, peppers and (I think) watermelons.
I did not plant lettuce there. It must have washed there in the heavy rain a few weeks ago.
What one thing does not belong? The little oak tree. We had a ton of seeds blown into our yard. One must have found it’s way to my raised garden bed.

Wow you have tomatoes…very impressive!
I’m surprised. Tomatoes have not been easy for me. So far, so good.
Looking good! I have some seedlings to put in the ground as soon as this cold spell passes (not freezing, but I decided my little plants would prefer the garage for these few 38 degree nights).
I can certainly understand waiting till the weather is a tad warmer. It has been warm here. Almost 90 yesterday.
Your garden looks so fresh and healthy – I am sure it is going to grow even more and very very well 😀
Cheers

Thanks so much!
Noobie question: how do you keep birds away?
I’m buying a plastic owl next week. Shinny, spinning things help some. Some birds won’t be deterred and I know I’ve lost some seeds.
