Odds and Ends
Today’s post is an odds and ends sort of post. I’m making peppermint vodka. It’s still “cooking”. 6 ounces of vodka, 4 peppermint candies=a little bit of peppermint flavor. I’m adding more peppermints (5 more) and we’ll see if I get a more powerful peppermint kick.
I’ll keep you posted.
My sweet girl loves her hats! CVS is selling this cute little beauty, my sweet tween would like it very much.
Heh. I need another kitchen gadget like I need hole in the head.
This adorably named cake pop maker was on sale at Kohl’s, Thanks to Rose for the heads up on the online deal!
plus it had a $10 rebate….making it less than $10. Unfortunately it’s a sale that has already ended.
I’ll let you know how the adorable gadget works!

I’m excited to hear how this peppermint vodka comes out! I made mint vodka once (vodka+fresh mint leaves+time on the counter) and it was good but not great. I love the flavor of peppermint around this time of year, would be fun to have an alcoholic version. And maybe even served in this: http://www.incrediblethings.com/home/candy-cane-shot-glass/ (Current goal is to find a way to make those myself…)
Oh peppermint vodka sounds awesome!
I’ve found infused vodkas to be totally hit or miss. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that yours turns out!
You´re having a busy day! Looking forward to finding out how the vodka goes… 🙂
I MUST make some peppermint vodka. Like, right now.
I had no idea there was such a thing as a cake pop maker, I assumed there was a pan of some kind.
Previously, I was rolling the cake into balls by hand. Very time consuming, and filled with extra calories since I was using icing as the “glue” to keep the balls together. They may sell cake ball pans. I’ve not seen one though.
I made little muffin balls this morning for my kids. They were tasty!
I like the idea of cake pops without all the frosting, being a non-frosting lover myself. (I know! How am I even a girl with that comment?) I saw this gadget on Pinterest and one of my baker friends poo-pooed it because they’re not real. Round balls of cake look real enough for me! 😀
It works really well I made cake pops last night and muffin balls this morning.
BABYCAKES. Now that’s just adorable.
I know, right?!?! It’s an adorable name for sure.
Peppermint vodka attacks small village, that’s awesome. Best caption of the day, by far.
Love the mix of cuteness here!
That’s an adorable hat. And I saw that gadget on sale…really wanted it, too. But I have NO room for more gadgets! Eat some cake pops for me. 🙂
Peppermint vodka sounds brilliant!
