Where I went…Wednesday

A lot of people post “What I wore, Wednesday” or “What I ate, Wednesday”.  I’m going to tell you where I went, via the interwebs over the last week.

My bloggy friend Andrea wrote a beautiful tribute post and posted a caramelized onion recipe for friend she recently lost.

I made homemade laundry detergent via a post I found on Foodie with Family.

I also made yummy Snickerdoodle cupcakes  based on a recipe off Foodie with Family.

I’d love to win a wine tour, My bloggy friend Lori over at MommyFriend has a giveaway going on.  If you live in California you should check out the giveaway.  If you’re a parent you should check out her blog.  If you’re a mom you should absolutely check out her blog.

I don’t have pets, but if you have dogs you might like this post of Rufus’ Food and Spirits guide for dog treats.

I’ve looked at many fun canning recipes through the canning link up hosted by Allie of Forgotten Beast and myself.

Where have you been?  I’d love to hear about your interweb surfing, as long as it’s PG13. 😉

  1. Boy are you productive! We were visiting family last Wednesday, nothing exciting there. We used to wine taste in Temecula when we lived in San Diego. I proposed to Katherine there.

  2. Oh and thanks for the mention!

  3. Thank you!
You made laundry detergent! I am impressed!
Off to Greg’s to see about dog treats!

    • It’s pretty neat, the detergent that is. I go through a lot of detergent with a teen and a tween in the house. I’m excited to be able to save some money. 🙂

  4. Sounds like a good week. And am going to see if I can make my own detergent too – love that idea!

    • It works great! Smells fresh and the clothes are soft and clean!

  5. wonderful Wednesday to you!

  6. Homemade laundry detergent AND delicious-sounding muffins? I think I’ve gotta check out that site 😀 Outside of the usual food blogs/foodgawker-like sites I waste my internet time on Reddit..which is largely PG-13, but not entirely…

    • Allie! Foodie with family just posted a lara bar recipe! Nom..nom..nom!

      • Oh man–those look SO much better than my first attempt at homemade larabars 😀

      • I know, right? I just made a batch. I added apricots. I’ll let you know how it goes.

  7. Ooh, Snickerdoodle cupcakes…yum!
